Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • I, the submitting author, shall be the point of contact throughout the peer review and proofreading process (if applicable).
  • I, the submitting author, warrant that I am authorized by all co-authors to submit this version of the manuscript and to be their spokesperson during the review process and beyond.
  • I, the submitting author, warrant that we have strictly followed the Author Guidelines.
  • I, the submitting author, warrant that this manuscript – or a very similar version – has not been submitted or previouly published elsewhere.
  • I, the submitting author, warrant that the submitted manuscript contains no libellous or illegal statements.
  • I, the submitting author, confirm that I have seen, read and understood the publisher’s guidelines on Copyright and author rights.
  • I, the submitting author, warrant that any third-party copyrighted material reproduced in the submitted manuscript is cleared for use by the rights holders where this is required, and that full acknowledgement is given. Use of third-party material in the manuscript is listed in a Cover letter to the Editor supplied separately during step two of the submission process.
  • I, the submitting author, warrant that all persons who meet authorship criteria are listed as authors. An Author Statements listing all authors and their contribution will be supplied separately during step two of the submission process.
  • If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
  • If submitting a research article, I, the submitting author, warrant that funding information is listed in a Cover letter to the Editor, supplied separately during step two of the submission process. The information include funder name, grant number and grant recipient.
  • I, the submitting author, warrant that any interests that might impair the credibility of the manuscript are disclosed in a Cover letter to the Editor, supplied separately during step two of the submission process.
  • If submitting a research article, I, the submitting author, confirm that the research meets the ethical guidelines, including adherence to the legal requirements of the study country. I confirm that all necessary consents and approvals have been obtained, and that the research and publication has been approved by the relevant ethics committee/review board where this is required.
  • I, the submitting author, warrant that My co-authors and I shall indemnify and hold harmless Cappelen Damm and Editor/s as to warranties and representations of the author's ownership, originality, or similar breaches. Such indemnification shall last beyond publication of the article, as well as extend to all related claims.

Author Guidelines

Manuscripts submitted to Forskning og Forandring (Research and Change) should strictly follow the specifications in Author Guidelines.

MANUSCRIPT CHECKLIST

  1. Formatting of elements in the text (for example heading styles, citations, etc.) has been done consistently throughout the manuscript.
  2. References are in accordance with journal style.
  3. URLs to online references are provided and ready to click (e.g. http://www.cappelendamm.no).
  4. All references mentioned in the Reference list are cited in the text, and vice versa.
  5. All figures/tables/graphics/images are placed in their correct position within the manuscript and are referred to in the text.
  6. Abbreviations in figures/tables/graphics/images are explained in the corresponding legends.
  7. The text has not been justified; a ragged right-hand margin has been used.
  8. Only one space has been entered after the full-stop at the end of a sentence.
  9. A double hyphen (--) has been used to indicate a dash in the text if the dash is not available in your text editor. TAB has been used when indenting paragraphs or separating columns in tables.
  10. Italics or ‘single quotes’ have been used for emphasis (avoid using underlines).
